SleepLoop Privacy Policy

Summary

SleepLoop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Period.

What We Store

SleepLoop stores your preferences locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults:

Your selected Spotify track link
Your scheduled playback time
Your cumulative loop counter
Per-song loop counts
App settings (enabled state, launch at login)

This data never leaves your computer.

What We Don't Do

We do not collect analytics or telemetry
We do not access your Spotify account or credentials
We do not connect to any server or API
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising
We do not share data with third parties

How It Works

SleepLoop controls the Spotify desktop app using macOS Automation (AppleScript). It sends commands to Spotify the same way Apple's Automator and Shortcuts do. It does not use the Spotify Web API.

In-App Purchases

SleepLoop offers an optional in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. SleepLoop does not handle payment information, billing details, or Apple ID credentials. Purchase status is stored locally on your device. For Apple's data handling practices, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

SleepLoop makes one optional network request: when you paste a Spotify track link, it fetches the track name from Spotify's public oEmbed endpoint (open.spotify.com/oembed). No personal information is sent in this request.

Children's Privacy

SleepLoop does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
