Need help? You're in the right place.
Make sure your Mac stays powered on (not shut down) and SleepLoop is running in the menu bar. Sleep mode is fine — SleepLoop will wake playback when needed.
SleepLoop works with any Spotify account. It controls the desktop app through macOS Automation — no Spotify API or premium features required.
SleepLoop uses AppleScript to control Spotify — the same mechanism available in Automator and Shortcuts. You'll need to grant permission the first time. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation and make sure SleepLoop is allowed to control Spotify.
The counter tracks cumulative plays over time. It increments each time SleepLoop detects a full loop during overnight playback. If your Mac goes to sleep or Spotify closes unexpectedly, some loops may not be counted.
Not currently. SleepLoop is built specifically for Spotify's desktop app. Apple Music support may come in a future update.
Click the moon icon in your menu bar to open SleepLoop, then adjust the hour and minute pickers below the activation button.
